As fires increase in our area, public fire and life safety officers from Orangeville, Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services are seeking the help of the public.
However, at this time and for best results, we urge parents, guardians and carers to regularly review fire safety principles with all children in your care and implement the basics of fire prevention, detection and home escape planning in your home.
The town asks residents to please discuss the following educational safety information with children and all family members to prevent fires:
When looking at fire detection, only effective smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms can save lives. The town is asking residents to show and discuss the importance of understanding smoke and carbon monoxide sirens to all family members.
For fire escapes, the Town recommends developing a home escape plan to support your family in the safe evacuation of your home in an emergency.
For more information and contact details, please visit your local fire service website by clicking on the logo below.Fire Service representatives are happy to answer any questions you or your family may have.
