The daughter of Yankee Candle founder Michael J. Kittredge is back on TikTok to answer more user questions about the massive estate.
Located at 113 Juggler Meadow in Leverett, the house has two carports for 80 classic cars, a concert venue where Hall and Oates performed, 16 bedrooms, a nine-hole golf course, a swimming pool, an indoor water park, and a two-level shopping mall. is currently on the market for a whopping $23 million.
One of Kittredge’s daughters, Kylie Kittredge, gave her TikTok followers a “real-life idea” of what it’s like to grow up at home. But the burning question from the Internet remains unanswered – what does the house smell like?
“This was the most popular question in my last video,” Kittredge told TikTok. “I completely understand”.
Although the house is the product of a well-known scented candle manufacturer and retailer, Kittredge told followers that “we don’t actually light scented candles in our house.”
On the rare occasions when they do, it’s a candle in the kitchen with a popular scent like balm, she said.
Their reason is that the family did not want the house to smell too strong.
“We have a lot of wooden floors, wooden walls and fireplaces, so the house itself has a very cozy smell,” she said.
But Kittredge said that the thought of home brings out one smell. Spoiler alert, it’s not a candle scent. It’s actually Bulgari’s green tea bath.
“In all of our rooms and spas, it is like the home fragrance we used. So for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, that’s what we have, and it’s a really fresh, clean scent.”
